Desert is an 18 y/o mare who came from the same trail riding facility as Red and Nikki. She had spent several years there and was left without a home with it was shut down this year. Desert is a wonderful mare who is a lot of fun to ride and easy to deal with. I actually worked at that same facility years ago and Desert and Red were the horses I rode every day. Red came with me when I left (to avoid a trip to the auction), however Desert was not for sale so I had to leave her. I stayed in contact with the program director over the years but they were never willing to part with her. When the program was shut down, I was contacted about taking her and picked her up right away. So, after 6 years of trying, I finally have her home. It was wonderful being reunited with an old friend and she is here to stay from now on!
