Lady is an older Racking mare who has been here for several years. She is a very gentle soul and will never be adopted out due to her age. She was given up by her owners after she had become very emaciated. It took a long time to get her back to a healthy weight and it is still hard to maintain that weight. However, she is doing well and living comfortably now. She is buddies with her blind friend Gizmo and helps him get around the farm. Lady is a special mare and everyone instantly loves her when they meet her. She is lucky to be able to enjoy her golden years in retirement at the rescue and we're happy to accomodate her.
